Thomas J. Webster
Northeastern University, US

Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 94) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995) and in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (M.S., 1997; Ph.D., 2000). He currently serves as the Art Zafiropoulo Endowed Chair and Professor of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University. Prof. Webster has graduated/supervised over 189 graduate students generating over 700 peer reviewed articles in his 20 year career. He has formed 12 companies who collectively have over 21 FDA approved medical products. Prof. Webster is a fellow of over 8 societies and was the past-president of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials.

 

Alka Jaggessar
Queensland University of Technology, Australia

Dr. Alka Jaggessar is an Early Career Researcher at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. As part of the Smart Structures and Bio-Interface Group at QUT, Dr. Jaggessar’s research focuses on fabricating nanostructured surfaces with antibacterial and antiviral properties. Dr Alka Jaggessar was recently successful in obtaining the Advance Queensland Industry Research Fellowship for her research in antiviral and antibacterial surfaces for Queensland hospitals. Her research interests include nanomaterial engineering, biofabrication, and anti-pathogenic surfaces.

Hui Wu
Tsinghua University, China

Hui Wu currently serves as Associate Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering (SMSE) at Tsinghua University. He has been awarded the National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars, the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, and the Youth Science Award of the Ministry of Education of China. His research focus on the nanofibers, electrochemical materials and energy materials. He has published more than 120 SCI papers in high impact journals, including Nature Energy, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, and Matter. He has been authorized more than 20 patents and has translated the nanofiber technology.

 

Loganathan Rangasamy
Vellore Institute of Technology, India

Loganathan Rangasamy currently serves as Associate Professor at Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). He has published more than 17 papers in high impact journals. He has given 19 invited talks or guest lectures and has great contribution to numerous international conferences. His research focus on the drug development for therapy of various diseases including cancer. He is experienced in organic synthesis, solid state peptide synthesis, coordination, and organometallic chemistry, animal study, and computational studies.
